So I just wanted to take a moment to brag on my daughter. She has yet to get fussy in a store and or in a restaurant (knock on wood). I mean today for instance. I went for sushi with Bowman and I expected Addison to fall a sleep but she didn't. She just sat there smiling and playing with her meow the whole time. Then the second I got home she lost it because she was hungry. This happens with the store as well. I will be at the store and when I get home she will have hunger cries. Its great its like in her little baby brain it registers "I've never been fed here before, so therefore it probably won't happen today." I realize she probably doesn't think like that but its my daughter so I can put words in her mouth.
Also she is now rolling both ways (there for a while I called her Zoolander because she couldn't turn left) and is all over the living room. Her latest endeavor is to get underneath everything. The couch and her blanket thats on the ground being the main quests. Several times I have come back from the bathroom or doing dishes to find a set of baby legs peaking out from under a blanket.
Welp that's about it. Just thought I would spout off about how awesome Addison is.
Moving skills increasing. Hide and seek skills? still lacking.

Superbowl Sunday and First Sleep In...
We went out to the in-laws house to watch the Steelers lose the Superbowl, fun times were had by all. Ate a bunch of food, watched Ben "Overrated" Roethlisberger throw away the Superbowl, and we had Mel watch Addison overnight, all of these lead to a very good night of sleep had by both Danica and I. We got her back today and gave her a good bath because she had two diapers that decided they need not work correctly. Things have been going pretty well, Addison is having the beginnings of smiles and is developing more and more by the day which is fun and exciting.
Have a doctor appointment tomorrow for Danica and then I have to get some work done on the car. Then on Wednesday I am getting 4 fillings, all on the left side of my face, trust me it wasn't me that scheduled that little diddy. This appointment is at 8:50 in the morning. So basically Wednesday will be awful until like 4 in the afternoon once I get some feeling back in my face.
Well that's that. Below are a couple of pictures of Addison that Mel took at her house today. She is wearing a headband that her sister-in-law on Talyor's side made. She's a little a cutey. And I in no way mean Mel. You can find more about the headbands on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Little-Divas/179042942126696.

Intro to the world...
Maybe watch/listen to the below video to feel the real power of the introduction of my daughter.
I began this blog to convey my words of wisdom and my experiences as I stay at home with my new daughter. Most people that will read this will already know myself and my wife but any that don't I will give you some details.
My name is Lucas and my wife is Danica. I stay at home and do some computer work and also some political consulting work (which I am trying to get more of). Danica is in her second year of teaching kindergarten in the Kansas City KS school district and loves her work but is definitely going to miss Addison when she goes back to school at the end of the month. On December 28th, 2010 we welcomed our first child into the world. A bouncing baby girl named Addison Marie Mitchell. She came out beautiful and loudly, tipping the scales at 6 lbs. 15 oz. She decided that Danica had made too comfortable a home and we had to go in after her and she was brought to the world via C-section. Danica is still recovering so a lot of the work has fallen on my shoulders and I am doing as much as I can to help out baby and wifey.
Since we have been home Addison has been great. She has been sleeping well (and often) and she is making the transition well. She has plenty of little quarks already that we are noticing and it is exciting to already see her growing and developing.
I wanted to create this so that I didn't have to bombard my Facebook with baby stuff and it also allows me to do it in a little more personal a manner. The ultimate goal is to make my own website with my own know how (that I have been slowly teaching myself).
Most of all I want to thank the tremendous amount of support, help, and food that our friends and family have given us. It has been great seeing people and introducing Addison to the world a few people at the time. We look forward to the continued introductions that we are going to make to those people that have not met our little princess yet.
Well that will be it for this evening. I really just wanted to throw something up to get this started so that I can hop on and do updates.
Thanks for reading.
